Strip-Cut Shredders

Strip-cut shredders shred in continuous strips and typically cost less than cross-cut shredders. Additionally, strip-cut shredders can handle more sheets per pass than a cross-cut shredder. Strip-cut shredders are recommended when minimal document security is required; as it may be possible to reassemble the document and/or read words or lines of text depending on the direction the paper was shredded in relation to the direction of the printed text. The continuous strips create more shredded bulk requiring more frequent waste removal and more space for storage prior to disposal or recycling. Shred strips can be recycled using the shredded bulk as packing material for shipments.
