Coil Bind Books up to 3/4” Thick

The Coilmaster Jr. is a desktop plastic spiral binder that will bind books from 3/16" to 3/4” (5 to 19mm) thick utilizing 8 to 25 mm (1/4" to 7/8")   diameter coil. The binding lengths can range from 4” (101.6mm) to 12” (304.8 mm). We recommend a .248 pitch however, .2475", .250” or 6 mm pitch can be supplied if necessary.

Sequence of Operations

Place a book into the clamp and coil around the bullet. When the foot pedal is depressed the book is clamped. The coilbed (which holds a similar piece of coil) will drop down and the spinner roller will spin. After the coil has completely spun through the book, the lever above the bullet will trip, causing the coil to stop under the spinner roller, leaving a couple of loops behind. The cutting knives will then rise, cut, and drop down again. The clamp will then open to release the book. The spinner roller will engage again to spin the waste off of the bullet. This causes the book detector sensor to bring the coilbed up (after one second) for the next book.
