Friction Feed

Choose friction-feed paper folders when:

  • Folding smaller quantities from a few hundred to few thousand folds at a time.
  • Folding uncoated or non-glossy paper. Although a friction feed folder can handle most coated papers you may have difficulty with consistent feeding of some coated papers or not be able to feed them at all. When folding coated or glossy paper stock, a friction feed folder's rubber feed tire can slip on the slick surface of some coated stocks.
  • When sheet marking is not a problem. The rubber feed tire of a friction feed folder can mark the printed sheet by tracking ink or creating "scuff marks".

Consult a Brett sales representative to determine which is best suited for your application, process qauntity and budget; a friction or air-suction feed folder.
