Wire Binding - Combination Punch & Bind Machines

Wire binding combination machines are available in manually operated punching and wire closing or automatic electric punch and manual wire closing.  There are two different machine configurations; 2:1 (2 punched holes per inch) and 3:1 (3 punched holes per inch).

The more popular 2:1 punch configuration can produce a book thickness range from 3/16" (45 sheets) to 1-1/4" (310 sheets)  2:1 wire binding elements are 11" in lenght with 21 wire loops.

The tighter loop 3:1 punch configuration can produce a book thickness range from 3/16" (45 sheets) to 9/16" (135 sheets).

Choose the 2:1 punch configuration for wider book thickness range.  If your book thickness will be consistently under 9/16" and you desire the tighter loop choose the 3:1 punch configuration.

If you desire both 2:1 and 3:1 punch configurations purchase a modular punching and binding system where you can interchange the punch dies.
